ಕಾಲ ಬದಲಾಗಿದರೂ ದಾರಿ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ,
ಸ್ನೇಹದ ಬಾಂಧವ್ಯ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ.
ನಿಯಮವಿಲ್ಲದ, ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಪ್ರೀತಿ,
ಸ್ನೇಹವೇ ಜೀವನದ ನಿಜವಾದ ಗೀತೆ.
ಜಗಳವೂ ಬಂದು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ,
ನಗು ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುನಃ ಅರಳುತ್ತದೆ.
ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಭೇಟಿಯಾದ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ,
ಹೃದಯ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ — “ನೀನೇ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹ!”

ಹೃದಯ ಮರೆತುಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ ಲಯ, ತಾಳ, ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನ.
ಒಂದು ನೋಟ, ಒಂದು ನಗು — ಲೋಕ ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತದೆ,
ಆಕಾಶವೂ ಮೌನ, ಗಾಳಿ ನಿಂತು ನೋಡುವುದು.

ಸಾವಿರ ಮುಖಗಳು ಮತ್ತೆ ಎದುರಾದರೂ,
ಆ ಸ್ಪಂದನೆ, ಆ ತಡಿತ — ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
ಪ್ರೀತಿ ನಿಜವಾದುದು — ಎರಡು ಬಾರಿ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,
ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಬಂದು ಹೃದಯದ ಗೋಡೆಗೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಅಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಅವರು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೋ, ಮೋಸಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೋ,
ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದ್ದಾರೋ, ಅಥವಾ ದೂರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೋ —
ಆ ಮೊದಲ ಬೆಂಕಿ, ಆ ನಿಶ್ಶಬ್ದ ನೋವು,
ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಲಿ, ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗಲಿ — ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಮಾಯವಾಗದು.

ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಹಾದರೂ, ಋತುಗಳು ಬದಲಾದರೂ,
ಆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿಧ್ವನಿ ಒಳಗೇ ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತದೆ.
ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಿದ್ದರೂ, ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಆ ತಾಣ —
ಜೀವನದ ಅಂತ್ಯವರೆಗೂ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆ.
