A Lifetime Remembering You

Don’t you remember me ever, my dear?
For every day, my thoughts still wander to you.
The moment you cross my mind, I wonder
Does your heart pause, even once, for me too?

Every scribbled letter I sent long ago
Carried an “I love you” hiding between the lines.
I tried a thousand times to tell you my truth,
Yet silence stayed louder than all my signs.

Now as I age, and the final day draws near,
Even on my deathbed, your memory brings a smile.
In that smile, it’s me circling around your soul
No touch, no sound… just a heart that stayed in love all the while.

The Pain Within

You lose a job, you lose a love,
you lose the ones you’re dreaming of.
Parents gone, it feels like death,
a life half-lived, a stolen breath.

No sun now shines, no flowers bloom,
just endless nights and quiet gloom.
A pain too deep for words to say,
it hides within, yet won’t decay.

The heart still beats, but not the same
it whispers loss in love’s own name.
Silent, unseen, yet burning strong
a pain that hums life’s saddest song

When Illness Speaks

Diseases come not just to break,
but to whisper truths we often forsake.
In pain, the body softly cries,
Slow down, see life through gentler eyes.

Each fever burns what we must release,
each scar reminds us, healing is peace.
Sickness, a teacher in silent disguise,
showing how fragile yet strong we rise.

When darkness visits, we learn to see,
that every ache has meaning to be.
For even in weakness, wisdom grows
through every wound, the spirit glows.
