It So happened - Part -7

So, the mad person had the book, he was saying the book's name "Operating systems". It was here that girl lost her book. I looked around, but was unable to find the mad person. I thought I need to say that girl, which her book is with this mad person, Somehow we can get the book from this mad person by talking to him coolly. At home, I had talk with my mother with this also, She said, you don’t go behind any mad person; just convey the message to that girl. If at all you want to help her take your brother with you. Don’t confront alone with the mad person. I said yeah thatz also true mom. I did some studying and then went for a sleep. My brother was always late for home. Mom waits for him to return late night; she serves food for him and then goes for sleep. Some days I never know when my brother did came, sometimes I doubt he came home also. Today also he was late.

Early morning, it was again a wake up call from my brother for a morning walk; I woke up and went with him. This time I didn't wanted to avoid going to park, since I wanted to talk with that girl and say that her library book was with that mad person. So, at park I was looking around in search of her. My brother asked, "whatz the matter sis? You seems like you are searching for someone? is your boy friend gonna come here today?" I said, "Oh yeah, He said he would be coming, hasn't come still i thought i shall introduce you to him." He acted as if he was shocked, he knew I was kidding, He added with my statement, "Oh really! thatz great sis, I shall inform this news to mom also as well" and he behaved as if he is gonna dial my mother's number. I said, "Hey Ranjan, was kidding, I am searching for that accident girl." He smiled and said, "Wow! To introduce me, you should have said me before itself I would have dressed up properly." I said, "Huh, Ranjan I didn't mean anything as such, I shall never leave that thing to happen, I doubt on you. The issue is..." I stated him the reason why I was waiting to meet her. 

My waiting for her went in vain. She didn't turn up. I thought I shall meet her at college itself. At college I was waiting for her, found her climbing the stairs, I raised my voice to talk with her, she moved as if she was least bothered or concerned to talk with me. She completely ignored me. My foot, I wanted to help her, she is such a head strong girl. Who the hell wants to help her, let she pay the fine. I went to my friends group, and said this situation bit exaggerating what happened, let she pay the fine, She deserves it. My voice was bit louder, since I was angry with her attitude. My other class mates started to stare at me.

Controlling my anger I kept silence. One of my friend said, "Cool yaar, its fine, it happens leave it, cool now, why should you be bothered about her? Right.. Cool.." I said yeah. Still my heart wasn't convinced with anything, was feeling bad and insulted. 

After two days, when I went to library again, was somewhat curious to know, whether she has paid the book fine or not yet? Still somewhat I wanted to help her. I wanted to ask the librarian, but she is always in bad temper, feels scared to talk with her, she would yell at me also, for no reason. So, then how to know, whether she has paid or not? Thinking that I moved towards the book rack, I was looking into the same name book "Operating Systems", was opening each book, for time pass, to get any idea, how to know whether she has paid the fine yet or not. Turning the pages of the book I saw at the end page of the book, something was written it says, "One who would make the difference". Suddenly I remembered it was the same words which the mad person took.

Same book, same words, looked at the number of the book with great surprise. Wasn't sure its same number, looks to be similar? Now, I desperately wanted to know, whether its the same book, which she lost? She gave back the book to library or paid the fine? Now after her last behavior wasn't interested to talk with her also. Then how? how to get to know about this?

I moved towards the reading section holding the same book in hand. Started to go through that book. I found some slip inside that book; it was small and seems to be attached to the book, that was the reason. I opened the slip and read the writings on it. It was a medical prescription, which was addressed to Sagarika. It was that accident girl's name. Oh, so its her book itself. So, she returned this book? but How?
